True craftsman of paper, every tiny detail matters to Victor Cadene. As a design artist perpetually looking for an indescribable harmony, he instinctly composes around a chromatic vibration.
In his paper scenographies, little theaters of a dreamed daily routine, he imagines miniature baroque worlds where opulent patterns and colours reign supreme. Each element is hand-painted being being cut out with a scalpel, and then perfected, retouched.
The drawing becomes the model and comes to life in decorative stagings ; it turns into a wallpaper, a fabric, or a dream scenography like his collaborations with Hermès, with Shang Xia’s Parisian windows and recently Diptyque.
